Royal Parks Half
12 October 2022Sunday 9th Oct was the Royal Parks Half Marathon starting and ending in Hyde Park and taking in London sights such as Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Admiralty Arch as well as the beautiful parks.
Twenty photographers in the team to shoot 16,000 runners, some heading out to London landmarks whilst others, including me, shot the start and finish. We were ‘tethered’ to upload gizmos, as is often the case at these events. This means that the images are uploaded in realtime and available within seconds online for the competitors to view and purchase. For us togs, it means that unfortunately we don’t get to see the pics!
So these images are from my spare camera – taken when having a few seconds break to stretch my back! Also a few from my phone. Even managed a bit of celeb’ spotting with Dermot O’Leary and some other famous faces taking part!
Next Sunday I’ll be shooting The Great South Run, which is pretty much the last event until we get into the Spring.
