Reading Half Marathon
3 April 2022First sports assignment of 2022 was the Reading Half Marathon.
A nice easy job this! Reading isn’t too far from home, parked up a short walk from the Majedski Stadium, where the race was finishing, joined up with the rest of the team, into the stadium, take up positions and start shooting!
It was pretty cold and the plastic track they’d laid over the pitch was still covered in ice a few minutes before the first runners were due. It was slippery to walk on, let alone run round the bend to the finish!
Luckily the sun just crept over the top of the stands and thawed it with just minutes to spare.
